Inflating Balloon
QUESTION:Can a balloon inflate when heated
Equipment:
A Bowl
A Balloon
Ice cubes
Hot water
An empty soda bottle
Method:
1.Place an empty soda bottle in a bowl of ice-cubes.
2.After about 10 minutes when the bottle has become cold take the bottle out the bowl.
3. Place a deflated balloon over the neck of the bottle and leave it out.
4.After the bottle has returned to room temperature, place it in a bowl of hot water.
5.The balloon starts getting inflated once the bottle gets hot.
Observation:When the bottle was placed in the cold water the balloon did not inflate. But when we placed it in the hot water the balloon inflated.
Explanation
The balloon inflated when the bottle was placed in the hot water because the warm air expands. This caused an increase in pressure in the bottle which inflated the balloon.

100 Meter Sprint
Introduction:
The 100-meter sprint is one of the most popular events in track and field.
Equipment:
Sprinting shoes
Starting blocks
Steps:1.Set your feet in the blocks. The distance between the blocks is up to you, so set them as far apart as you're comfortable with. In general, the foot that will make the first step during your start should be farther back.
2.Wait for the gun to sound, then explode out of the blocks. Most athletes won't have a problem with this, but don't react to the gun faster than .1 seconds. Anything quicker will be flagged a false start.
3.Focus on driving forward for the first 15 meters or so of the race. Keep your head down and concentrate on leaning forward to build speed.
4.Gradually allow your body to become upright as you near the 30 meter mark. Continue to pump your arms vigorously and concentrate on accelerating.
5.Bring your hips and legs back under your body as you reach the 50 meter mark. Allow your body to transition smoothly from the leaning acceleration posture to the upright maximum speed posture.
6.Maintain your top speed by staying relaxed and concentrating on your technique. Straining during this part of the race will cause you to lose more speed than you should, so let yourself glide down the track.
Rules
1.You experience a false start when you begin running before the sound of the gun. You may leave the blocks or starting line early for a number of reasons, but this is usually due to a state of over-excitement at the start of the race. After one false start, the runners are returned to the starting position and asked to begin again. If you make two false starts, you are disqualified from the race.
2.You must run within your marked lane throughout the race. Lanes are typically marked by painted lines on a running track, but in an improvised setting they can simply be assumed boundaries that are judged by sight. Leaving your lane can be dangerous, as it may cause you to interfere or collide with another runner at high speed. Any time you leave your lane, you are immediately disqualified.
